Recently, on a beautiful autumn day, I escorted my wife of 19 years to
my hometown, West Orange, NJ
for a bit of nostalgia.
Presently, I reside in central Jersey, some 50 miles from the home of Thomas
Edison. When I relocated some 24 years ago, one
of the first reactions to my new geographical position
on
the globe was the flatness of my new locale. My second thought was
how easy it must have been to
learn how
to drive a stick down here in mountainless central Jersey.
